~ Dancing in the streets! ~
Our town held a New Year’s Eve celebration like we’ve never seen before. They closed off a couple of blocks in the middle of downtown, built a stage in the middle of an intersection, and brought George Clinton and P-Funk to ring in the new year with us! It was like our own little “Times Square”…and did I mention that it was free?? What better way to ring in the new year than dancing in the streets to the sounds of George Clinton and P-Funk?!?! I had a blast with my friends and my love!

~ Beaufort Stew & Oysters! ~
Mmmm…oysters! Some friends hosted a party for Anna, who was home visiting for the holidays. I LOVE LOVE LOVE oysters! The beaufort stew was great too but a little bit spicy for my taste. Not to mention that Laura whipped up some homemade calamari and marinara! Double yummy! (It’s so good that I want her to guest post a Tasty Tuesday blog specifically for her recipe!)

~ Reading! ~
It’s a gift!! If you know me at all, then you know that I love to read. When I was younger, I read tons of books. After high school, I kind of fell away from reading, however this past year I’ve made it a point to read more. I even set myself a reading challenge for the year to keep myself motivated. With that being said, our library now offers downloadable media…eBooks! It works just like a regular library book and you have to have a library card to check out an eBook. Since I have not used the public library in over 5 years, my card was no longer valid. Monday I registered for a new one. Now I’m ready to read more…and for free!
