A Day In The Life Of My Eats…(WAIW #2)

Happy Wednesday lovelies!
I find it easier to document my eats on the weekend so I’m sharing my Sunday with you all. I’ve found lots of great inspiration the last two WIAW’s and I’ve pinned several in hopes to try them. As you can see below, I’ve tried one for breakfast!

First, let me start by thanking Jenn for hosting this amazing link party!

What WIAW isn't about:
Comparison - Judgment - Restriction - Guilt

What WIAW is about:
Celebrating one of the glorious things we all have in common: We all eat!

WIAW is about food and fun! It's about making new friends, breaking out of a food rut, inspiring yourself & others, embracing fruit & vegetables, finding new ways to eat your favorite foods, and so much more ♥

Celebrate blogging. Celebrate Food. Celebrate Individuality.
[Cause over here, we like to party!]

1. Pre-Run Fuel (8:30am):

I can never eat right when I wake up, but I knew I need something in my stomach, so I forced down half of a banana.

2. BREAKFAST (9:30am):

After my morning run, I chowed shoveled down some oat bran cereal before making a mad dash to church for mass.  In the mix: oat bran made with almond milk and chia seeds, then sweetened with 1 tbsp of Musselman’s apple butter and 1 tbsp of Cascadian Farm Strawberry fruit spread. Yummy!!

2. SNACK (1:00pm):

I’m getting comfortable with making smoothies. Years back when I was a healthy conscious workout freak, I took the easy route and bought the ready made smoothies. Boy was I missing out! I love experimenting and making them now! This one is a Strawberry Blueberry green smoothie. Blended: 1 cup of strawberries and blueberries, 1/2 cup of spinach, 1/2 cup of vanilla Chobani yogurt, 3/4 skim milk, and 1 tbsp ground flax seed. All my smoothies make 2 cups worth and I just drink 1 8oz cup and leave the other half for PJ to snack on.

3. LUNCH (2:30/3:00pm):

quesadillas
We had a Relay for Life team meeting at a friend’s house. Our team will be selling grilled chicken and cheese quesadillas at the Relay to raise money so Chris and Laura kindly cooked some up for the team to sample. Double yummy! As you can see, I snacked on a little bit of chips and dip before enjoying those quesadillas!

4. SNACK (6:30pm):

I paired up a granny smith apple with 2 tbsp of Dark Chocolate Dreams peanut butter.
I THINK I AM IN LOVE! Okay, so I have been living under a rock. I had no idea that there was anything else out there other than regular crunchy/creamy peanut butter and almond butter. A huge thanks to RaceReady for turning me on to this divine peanut butter. I don’t think I can ever go back to the regular kind now.
Winking smile
5. DINNER (8:00pm):

shreddedchicken
I originally started with some shredded BBQ chicken (made in the crockpot) and steamed broccoli. Then I realized that I was short on my calories for the day so after I ate the broccoli, I put the chicken on a whole wheat thin bagel. But for some reason I wasn’t too hungry because I only at half of that sandwich.

I have the Red Nose 5k Run this coming Saturday, so Sunday was a run day for me. Here’s my RunKeeper report:
