Every year my company gives Christmas Eve, Christmas day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's day off. So at the end of every year, I have two four day weekends in a row! It's almost like a mini-end-of-year-vacation! Some of last weekend was spent being lazy in the papasan chair with Raven while reading, blogging, or surfing around on the web. I have one more four day weekend coming up!
I rang in Christmas day at Our Lady of The Hills Catholic Church for midnight mass, celebrating the true meaning of Christmas - Jesus Christ! After sleeping in a little bit, we started the day with just us and the furkids, then headed to PJ's brother's house to spend the first part of the day with his family. Then we headed to my parents' house to have dinner and spend the rest of the evening with my family. I am truly blessed!
There was a time where I was not certain that I'd run again, much less ever beat my PR from years before. I'm happy to say that I'm once again a RUNNER and on Christmas Eve I beat my 5K PR time by 10 seconds! (Before Saturday, my 5K PR was 30:23 from 2006!)
